Breed Introduction

The American Bobtail (Lynx rufus) is a medium to large wild cat found in North America, with a body length of 0.7-1.2 meters and a height of 36-38 cm at the shoulder. The Bobtail is a highly adaptable predator, residing in forests, semi-deserts, urban areas, and swamps. It is primarily active at dawn and dusk, preying on rabbits, hares, insects, and small rodents. The longest lifespan recorded for a wild Bobtail is 16 years.

The American Bobtail has a slightly larger-than-average body, a short tail, and strong muscles, making it an athletic animal. At first glance, when you confirm you are looking at an American Bobtail, you slowly turn towards it and your gaze falls on this magnificent wild creature. It captivates you. Your eyes meet, and you are transported to a distant place where your heart can run wild and free.

The cat tends to its luxurious fur, winks at you, and begins to purr softly. You long to stroke its soft, thick coat and hold it in your arms, but do you dare?
