Breed Introduction
The English Setter originated in the 19th century. The ancient Spanish Pointer is the ancestor of this breed. Initially, Edward Laverack began breeding in 1825, so for a long time it was known as the Laverack Setter.
The English Setter is a graceful, elegant, quiet breed that can think for itself. Very beautiful, loyal, gentle, and gets along well with children, it can live with family and can also be kept outdoors. When it discovers prey, it will sit down immediately. It is easy to train and is a very good, responsive working dog in practical situations. However, it requires a lot of exercise opportunities and is not very suitable for city life. The coat should be brushed twice a week, and the ears should be checked frequently.
